Model Essay #1:

World history suggests that violence and conflict were more evident under male leadership than under female leadership. So, for peace to prevail, female leadership can be considered as a better option than male leadership. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the history of the world, instances of violence and conflict have been more apparent under male leadership than under female leadership. It is argued that for peace to prevail, female leadership may be a more suitable option than male leadership. In this essay, I will discuss the extent to which I agree with this statement.

To begin with, it is undeniable that throughout history, many conflicts and wars have been led by male leaders. From ancient times to modern history, examples of male-led violence and aggression are abundant. However, it is important to note that there have been female leaders who have also engaged in conflicts and wars. Empress Wu Zetian of China and Queen Elizabeth I of England are examples of female leaders who were involved in military campaigns. Thus, the argument that female leadership is inherently more peaceful than male leadership may not hold true in all cases.

On the other hand, some proponents argue that female leadership tends to emphasize diplomacy, negotiation, and peaceful resolutions to conflicts. Studies have shown that countries with female leaders have been more likely to engage in peaceful resolutions and prioritize social welfare programs. For instance, leaders like Angela Merkel and Jacinda Ardern have been praised for their inclusive and empathetic leadership styles.

In conclusion, while it is true that male leadership has been associated with more evident violence and conflict throughout history, it is not accurate to claim that female leadership is always a better option for peace to prevail. Both male and female leaders have the capacity to promote peace and resolve conflicts. Ultimately, the qualities of a leader, regardless of gender, and the specific context in which they operate are more influential factors in determining their effectiveness in promoting peace.

Model Essay #2:

World history suggests that violence and conflict were more evident under male leadership than under female leadership. So, for peace to prevail, female leadership can be considered as a better option than male leadership. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

While it is true that history has witnessed instances of violence and conflict under male leadership, it is not entirely accurate to claim that female leadership is inherently a better option for peace to prevail. In this essay, I will discuss the extent to which I disagree with the statement that female leadership is superior to male leadership in promoting peace.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that both male and female leaders have the potential to contribute to peace and conflict resolution. History provides examples of male leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, who advocated for non-violent resistance and reconciliation. Similarly, female leaders like Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir were known for their resolute leadership during times of conflict.

Furthermore, it is essential to recognize that the effectiveness of a leader in promoting peace is not solely determined by their gender. Leadership qualities such as empathy, diplomacy, and the ability to engage in constructive dialogue are not exclusive to a particular gender. Both male and female leaders can possess these qualities and utilize them to foster peaceful resolutions to conflicts.

Moreover, it is crucial to avoid generalizations about the leadership capabilities of individuals based on their gender. Each leader brings their own unique attributes and experiences to their role, and their effectiveness in promoting peace is influenced by a multitude of factors beyond gender.

In conclusion, while it is evident that violence and conflict have been prevalent under male leadership in history, it is not accurate to assert that female leadership is inherently a better option for peace to prevail. Both male and female leaders have the potential to contribute to peace and conflict resolution, and it is essential to evaluate leaders based on their individual qualities and actions rather than their gender.
