Model Essay #1:

Wild animals have no use in the 21st century and trying to preserve animals now is just wastage of money. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

In the 21st century, some people argue that wild animals have no use and that efforts to preserve them are a waste of money. However, I disagree with this opinion. While it is true that wild animals may not have direct economic value, they play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems and provide numerous benefits to humans.

Firstly, wild animals are an essential part of the natural world and contribute to the overall health of ecosystems. They help in pollination, seed dispersal, and maintaining the balance of predator-prey populations. For example, bees and other pollinators are crucial for the reproduction of many plants, including those that humans rely on for food. Without wild animals, these natural processes would be disrupted, leading to ecological imbalances.

Furthermore, wild animals also have indirect benefits for humans. Ecosystems with diverse wildlife are more resilient to environmental changes and are better able to provide essential services such as clean water, air purification, and climate regulation. Preserving wild animals is, therefore, an investment in the long-term sustainability of the planet and the well-being of human societies.

Moreover, wild animals have intrinsic value and are part of our cultural and natural heritage. Many people derive enjoyment and inspiration from observing and learning about wildlife. Protecting wild animals is essential for maintaining biodiversity, which enriches our lives and has aesthetic, recreational, and educational value.

In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the notion that wild animals have no use in the 21st century and that efforts to preserve them are a waste of money. They are an integral part of the natural world, provide essential ecosystem services, and have intrinsic value. Preserving wild animals is not only crucial for the health of the planet but also for the well-being of current and future generations.

Model Essay #2:

Wild animals have no use in the 21st century and trying to preserve animals now is just wastage of money. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

In the modern era, some individuals argue that wild animals have become obsolete and that the resources allocated to their preservation are squandered. I somewhat agree with this perspective, as the financial resources used to protect wild animals could be directed towards addressing pressing human needs.

Firstly, in the 21st century, with increasing urbanization and industrialization, the direct economic benefits of wild animals have diminished. The focus should be on addressing human poverty, hunger, and healthcare rather than allocating resources to protect wild animals that may not have immediate economic value.

Moreover, the preservation of wild animals often requires substantial financial investment and resources. These funds could be utilized to address societal issues such as education, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation, which have a more immediate impact on human well-being.

Furthermore, it is essential to consider the opportunity cost of preserving wild animals. The funds used for wildlife conservation could be redirected towards research and development for sustainable agricultural practices, renewable energy, and technological advancements, which would benefit human societies in the long term.

In conclusion, while wild animals have played a significant role in the past, the 21st century presents different challenges that require a reallocation of resources. While some level of protection for wild animals is necessary, it is crucial to prioritize human needs and allocate resources strategically to address pressing societal issues in the modern world.
