Model Essay #1:

Some employers offer their employees subsidized membership of gym or sports clubs, believing that this will make their staff healthier and thus more effective at work. Other employers see no benefit in so doing.

Some employers believe in providing subsidized gym or sports club memberships to their employees, thinking that it will result in healthier and more productive staff. On the other hand, some employers do not see any advantage in offering such benefits. This essay will discuss both perspectives and provide reasons for my opinion.

Employers who support subsidized gym memberships argue that it can lead to healthier employees, which may reduce sick days and improve overall productivity. Regular exercise has been proven to have numerous health benefits, including reducing stress and boosting energy levels. Consequently, employees who are physically fit are likely to perform better at work and contribute positively to the company's success.

However, some employers may not see the benefit of offering subsidized memberships to gyms or sports clubs. They might argue that it is an additional expense that does not necessarily translate to improved performance. They may also believe that employees should take responsibility for their own health and fitness outside of work hours.

In my opinion, providing subsidized gym memberships can significantly benefit both employees and employers. For instance, a study conducted by a leading business magazine found that companies that invested in employee health and wellness programs saw a notable increase in employee satisfaction and a decrease in turnover rates. Furthermore, I believe that a healthy workforce is a productive workforce, and the long-term benefits outweigh the initial costs.

In conclusion, while some employers may not see the value in offering subsidized gym or sports club memberships, I firmly believe that investing in employee health and well-being can lead to a more productive and satisfied workforce.

Model Essay #2:

Some employers offer their employees subsidized membership of gym or sports clubs, believing that this will make their staff healthier and thus more effective at work. Other employers see no benefit in so doing.

Some employers offer subsidized gym or sports club memberships to their employees, believing it will improve their health and effectiveness at work. However, others do not see the benefits of doing so. This essay will discuss both perspectives and provide reasons for my opinion.

Employers who support subsidized gym memberships argue that it can lead to healthier employees, resulting in reduced absenteeism and increased productivity. Regular exercise has been proven to have numerous health benefits, including reducing the risk of chronic diseases and improving mental well-being. Consequently, employees who are physically fit are likely to have better focus and energy levels at work.

On the other hand, some employers may not see the advantage of providing subsidized memberships to gyms or sports clubs. They might argue that it is an unnecessary cost and that employees should take care of their own health outside of work hours. Additionally, they may believe that the impact on productivity is not significant enough to justify the expense.

In my opinion, while promoting employee health and well-being is essential, there are other effective ways to achieve this without incurring the cost of subsidized gym memberships. For example, employers can offer wellness programs within the workplace, such as yoga classes, health seminars, or healthy eating initiatives. These initiatives can promote a healthier lifestyle without the need for additional financial investment in external memberships.

In conclusion, while some employers believe in offering subsidized gym or sports club memberships, I believe there are alternative ways to promote employee health and well-being within the workplace. It is crucial for employers to prioritize the health of their staff, but there are cost-effective methods to achieve this without necessarily subsidizing external gym memberships.
