Model Essay #1:

It is widely believed that children of different levels of intelligence should be taught together, while others think that more intelligent children should be taught separately. Discuss and present your own opinion. Which one do your support?

In today’s society, there is an ongoing debate about whether children of varying levels of intelligence should be taught together or separately. While some people argue that it is beneficial for all children to learn together, others believe that more intelligent children should be taught separately. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument and present my opinion on the matter.

On the one hand, proponents of teaching children together argue that it fosters inclusivity and promotes a sense of equality among students. They believe that mixed-ability classes provide opportunities for peer learning, where children can support and learn from each other. Additionally, it is believed that being in a diverse learning environment can help children develop important social skills and empathy towards others.

On the other hand, advocates for teaching more intelligent children separately argue that it allows for a tailored curriculum that can cater to the specific needs of gifted students. They argue that in a separate setting, these students can be challenged and pushed to reach their full potential without being held back by the pace of the rest of the class. Furthermore, it is believed that separate classes can provide more individualized attention and support for gifted students.

In my opinion, while there are benefits to both approaches, I believe that a combination of both methods would be most effective. It is important to have mixed-ability classes to promote inclusivity and social development, but there should also be opportunities for more intelligent children to receive specialized education to maximize their potential.

In conclusion, the debate over whether children of different levels of intelligence should be taught together or separately is complex and multifaceted. While there are valid arguments for both approaches, a balanced combination of inclusive learning environments and specialized education for gifted students may provide the best outcomes for all children.

Model Essay #2:

It is widely believed that children of different levels of intelligence should be taught together, while others think that more intelligent children should be taught separately. Discuss and present your own opinion. Which one do your support?

The issue of whether children of varying levels of intelligence should be taught together or separately is a contentious one. While some argue for mixed-ability classes, others advocate for separate education for more intelligent children. In this essay, I will explore the arguments for teaching more intelligent children separately and present my support for this approach.

Proponents of teaching more intelligent children separately argue that it allows for a more tailored and challenging curriculum. In a separate setting, these students can progress at a pace that matches their abilities, without feeling held back by the needs of the rest of the class. Additionally, it is believed that separate classes can provide specialized support and resources to help gifted students reach their full potential.

Furthermore, advocates for separate education for more intelligent children argue that it can foster a more stimulating learning environment. By being surrounded by peers of similar intellectual capabilities, these students may be motivated to excel and engage in higher-level discussions and activities, which may not be possible in a mixed-ability class.

In my view, I support the idea of teaching more intelligent children separately. I believe that this approach can provide the necessary support and challenges for gifted students to thrive academically. By offering a specialized curriculum and a stimulating learning environment, we can ensure that these students are adequately challenged and supported in their educational journey.

In conclusion, while there are valid arguments for both mixed-ability classes and separate education for more intelligent children, I firmly support the idea of teaching more intelligent children separately. I believe that this approach can provide the tailored support and challenges necessary for gifted students to reach their full potential.
